An Non-governmental organization in Zamfara state, Mabruk Orphans and Vulnerable Foundation established in the state yesterday inaugurated its governing council in its effort to conduct the activities of the organization smoothly.
The well attended and impressive ceremony was conducted at its Multi Purpose Hall of the State headquarters of the foundation located at zurmi road in T/wada Gusau.
The chairman of the 14 man governing council, Alh Muh’d Aliyu Anka, (Santurakin Anka), commended the organization for finding them worthy for appointment in to the council and he promised that they would perform their duties diligently.
Earlier the chairperson of the foundation Hajiya Dije Ahmed in her speech, briefed the gathering about the success story of the foundation from conception, registration with Corporate Affairs Commission and contribution of some committed individual both morally and financially to make the take up and actualization of the foundation a success.
The council was officially inaugurated by the former Chief Judge of Sokoto state Aisha Sani Dahiru, OFR. The former chief judge who is also a patron of the organization commended the organizers of the event and enjoined the inaugurated members of the governing council to put in their best.
The event was blessed by Sheik Ahmad Umar Kanoma who admonished the gathering on the importance of taking care of orphans and the status of those takes care of orphans in the Day of Judgment as having a special place close to the Holy prophet Muhammad SAW.
Important dignitaries that attended the inauguration were the wife of the state deputy governor, Haj Atika Ibrahim Wakkala, the District Head of T/wada Nurudden Kabir Dan Baba, Chairman Zamfara Coalition of NGOs Ibrahim Tudu and Managing Director Gamji Cable Televisions, Aliyu Adamu Tsafe (Dan Madamin Tsafe). Mabruk Orphans and Vulnerable Foundation is a registered member of Zamfara Civil society organizations, the Coalition.
