ZAMFARA INSECURITY: Police ban movement of motorcycles

The Zamfara state police command on monday has banned the movement of motorcycles in all the 14 LGA of Zamfara state. This was contained in a press release signed by Police public relations officer SP Mohammed Shehu.

The release reads: “In view of the prevailing security challenges in the state, and the effort being made by the Police and other sister security agencies to checkmate all form of criminality so that people of the state can sleep with their two eyes closed. The Zamfara State Police Command wishes to announce the ban on motorcycle movement in all the 14 LGAs of the state”.

“The Restriction order will commence on Tuesday 10th July, 2018 from 6pm-07am. Therefore, all motorcycle riders/owners are advised to abide by this order as it was enacted in the best interest of the citizens. Any person who violates this order will be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law. The Command uses this medium to enjoin members of the public to continue to partner with the Police and other security agencies so that together we can make Zamfara a free crime state”.
