FG commended for security measures in Zamfara

The Federal Government of Nigeria has been commended for it’s decision to deployed troops to check mate the menace of bandits in Zamfara state.

The commendation was made by an activist and chairman of zamfara state coalition of NGOs, Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu.  In a statement released to the media, Tudu  described the deployment and activities of the military in operation “Sharan daji” and operation “Diran mikiya” as commendable.

The activist said before now the unrestricted mobility and atrocities of  the bandits in the state was frightening and hopeless. They have been terrorizing communities in various local government areas of the state by killings and destruction of properties.

Ambassador Ibrahim Tudu welcomed the massive deployment of the combined forces of 1000 personnel. Their recent successes in destroying  the bandits hideouts has brought relief to the communities and some IDPs have started returning home. He prayed that the army will maintain the tempo and momentum  in  order to secure the state.
